Kelantan is dubbed “Negeri Cik Siti Wan Kembang” after the legendary Malay queen who ruled the region in the 16th century. The impacts of female empowerment from her reign is still seen today, in the entrepreneurial spirit of the Kelantanese women. This Merdeka, we celebrate the strength and resilience of the Kelantanese women who are the backbone of their local economy.
